An independent Sixth form in North Wales offering both A-levels and the IB
The Sixth form programme at Rydal Penrhos School is designed to bridge the gap between school and university study, as well as shaping our pupils to be well-rounded young adults, ready to take their place in a global society. We offer an inclusive Sixth form experience that sets “excellence” as its minimum standard. We have high expectations of our pupils in every aspect of their Sixth form careers: primarily in their academic studies, but also in their commitments to the extra-curricular life of the school.
In order to support our pupils on their path to success, we provide all Sixth formers with individual attention to support their specific needs: a support network which comprises subject teachers, a tutor, Head of Sixth form and UCAS coordinator.
Our Sixth formers play an integral role in establishing an ethos unique to Rydal Penrhos School. While a selected team of Senior Prefects contribute to the smooth running of the school day, all Sixth form pupils are expected to lead younger pupils and set the standard in terms of conduct and dress.
