Pupils may apply for scholarships at entry into Year 7.
Scholarships are normally awarded for the duration of the pupil’s school career, but are reviewed annually to ensure that the pupil remains a committed and positive member of the school community, and actively contributes to the school’s academic or extra-curricular life.
Applications for scholarships into Year 7 are accepted from new pupils and pupils from Rydal Penrhos Prep School.
Rydal Penrhos School are offering eight scholarships for Year 7 pupils enrolling in 2020.
These will consist of:
Academic scholarships for Year 7 will be awarded based on Entrance Examination results and interview.
All applicants will be considered for an Academic scholarship.
Sport and Music scholarships will be awarded on portfolio of achievements and interview.
The scholarship value will be £500 per year to be spent on the child’s development in agreement with the Deputy Head team, Director of Music or Head of Physical Education.
The £500 cannot be used for fee reduction.
Rydal Penrhos reserves the right to have one more or less in each category but will offer eight scholarships in total to Year 7.
Rydal Penrhos School are offering four 100% fee reduction places for Year 7 and Sixth Form (Year 12) entry in 2020.
Year 7 places will be awarded based on Entrance Examination results and interview.
Sixth Form (Year 12) places will be awarded on predicted GCSE grades and interview.
This is a means tested scheme for families with a combined income of less than £30,000 per annum.
Must reside in North Wales and attend a state school.
