Aspiring Preparatory School performing artists are in the final stages of preparation ahead of a high-profile production.
The Year 4 and 3 groups at Rydal Penrhos will hold their annual play on Thursday, March 19, which will take place from 6.30-7.30pm in the Prep School Hall.
They will be taking on the story of ‘Dragon’, which follows the story of Princess Poppy’s quest to bring peace and order back to her kingdom.
Disorder descended after her villainous suitor, Arkamir, has killed the only dragon, leaving Poppy with no other alternative other than to find a replacement to ensure the future of her community.
This is a nice traditional tale with plenty of exciting pantomime elements, including lots of singing and dancing.
There will also be the opportunity to view an afternoon matinee from 2pm on Thursday, which will be available for pupils and any parents that cannot attend the evening’s showcase.
Teacher Catherine Culver, who has led rehearsals with the enthusiastic cast, said: “Each pupil involved has worked exceptionally hard to ensure they are ready for their big night on stage.
“It promises to be a fantastic evening with plenty of audience interaction. We hope to see as many people there as possible to support a very talented group of young performers.”
