Time is running out for anyone wishing to apply for fully funded day places entering Sixth Form and Year 7 at Rydal Penrhos.
Four places in total are available for 2020 entry next September and applications are now being taken for anyone wishing to apply.
Year 7 places will be awarded based on Entrance Examination results and interview, with Year 12 Sixth Form places awarded on predicted GCSE grades and subsequent interview with a senior staff member during the assessment process.
This is a means tested scheme for families with a combined income of less than £30,000 per annum.
Anyone residing in North Wales is welcome to apply, and all applicants must attend a state school.
Two places have been allocated for Year 7 entry, with a further two set to be awarded for Year 12.
The deadline for applications is Friday, January 17, with Entrance Examinations to be held on Saturday, February 1.
This academic focus is enhanced by a thriving enrichment provision that has seen national triumphs in areas such as Sport, Music, Drama and Art, with many also taking full advantage of Rydal Penrhos’ Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme to secure Gold accolades and a trip to a royal ceremony.
Sixth Form members play a key role throughout Rydal Penrhos at community and charity events, in addition to supporting younger pupils in their Prefect and Peer Mentor roles, which benefit the incoming Year 7 group considerably.
Anyone wishing to apply for either the Year 7 of Year 12 Sixth Form day places should contact Admissions Officer Jenny Marsden on admissions@rydalpenrhos.com or by calling 01492 530155.
