Charity Committee reveal 2020 Sport Relief activities
March 11, 2020

Rydal Penrhos’ Sixth Form Charity Committee have arranged a series of exciting activities to lent support to a nationwide fundraising initiative.

The events will take place on Friday, March 13 to coincide with BBC Sport Relief, and senior pupils are invited to come into school in fancy dress to mark the occasion.

The theme is ‘something beginning with the first letter of your name’, and there will be a £2 donation required.

A sports quiz during form period will get the festivities underway, with a special prize for the winning team. This will be followed by a bake sale during morning break in the Memorial Quad, with plenty of tasty treats on offer.

There will also be a surprise lunchtime activity on the Astro Pitch during lunch, the details of which have yet to be revealed by the committee.

This is the latest in a series of charity events put on by Rydal Penrhos throughout the academic year, which aid regional and national causes considerably.

The school also continues to support projects in Uganda, which included a large donation to a construction project for a primary school facility.

Senior School head Sally-Ann Harding, said: “Our Sixth Form Charity Committee have been a real asset in the role during the academic year to date, and our annual Sport Relief event promises to be another fantastic occasion for a very worthy cause.”
