Enrichment Focus: Mindfulness and Wellbeing (Y7-10)
January 22, 2020

This special series features a more in-depth look at the wealth of enrichment opportunities available at Rydal Penrhos Senior School throughout the spring term.

Monday: Mindfulness and Wellbeing (Years 7-10)

The mental health of each pupil at Rydal Penrhos is of paramount importance, and during this session members of Year 7 to 10 can learn about different aspects of good wellbeing and mindfulness in order to maximise their production in and out of the classroom.

This will focus on elements of their every day lives that affect this extremely important topic, and how certain aspects of their behaviour can influence others around them.

The session is another useful tool for younger members of the senior school community to utilise, and is another considerable boost to the exceptional pastoral provision offered to each pupil living and learning at Rydal Penrhos.

Teaching and support staff at the school work together to ensure that the best and most appropriate levels of support are sought and put in place for individuals in need of help or guidance, both pastorally or from a safeguarding perspective.

Strong pastoral structures within the school further highlight its significance, with the additional layer of support provided by Counsellor Tracey Boothby.

Rev’d Nick Sissons, Chaplain at Rydal Penrhos, also lends a key support from a spiritual, emotional and pastoral perspective.
