Founders’ Weekend 2019 schedule revealed
September 6, 2019

Another action-packed schedule has been devised for one of the most prominent occasions on the Rydal Penrhos calendar.

The school’s annual Founders’ Weekend will take place from September 13-15, and this year’s event promises to be another wonderful occasion for those in attendance.

The festivities will begin on Friday, September 14 with a Founders’ Service at St John’s Church from 3.30pm, which welcomes Alan Davies JP, who is the Chair of the Wesley Trust, as the special guest speaker.

Saturday’s schedule begins with School Tours and a chance to view our archives exhibition in the Richards Room, before attention turns to the water for sessions with Rydal Penrhos’ RYA Accredited Sailing department.

All eyes will then turn to the Natalie Kate Moss Trophy battle between Old Girls’ and current pupils, with the school’s senior Hockey and Netball sides testing their skills against those that have previously represented Rydal Penrhos through the years.

Some of the best young Fives talent from across the country will be on show at the Wales Open Festival, and there will also be Boys’ Hockey tournament that is now in its second year.

The day will conclude with the Rydal Penrhos Society AGM and North Wales Dinner at the Sixth Form Ferguson Centre from 6pm, with a limited number of place remaining on a first come, first served basis.

Sunday sees the eagerly anticipated Vikings’ Rugby clash for the Bleddyn Williams Trophy take place from 11am, followed by a barbecue at New Field.

Anyone wishing to book their place at any of the events should contact Sarah James via email at SJames@rydalpenrhos.com or call 01492 530155.
