Three-time defending Super League champions St Helens were put through their paces at a special three-day pre-season training camp at Rydal Penrhos.
Rydal Penrhos’ exceptional sporting facilities played host to one of the country’s most successful rugby league teams for a three-day training camp this week.
St Helens, who have won the last three Super League titles and also clinched the Challenge Cup once again in 2021, chose the school as their base from December 20-22 ahead of the new campaign next year.
Kristian Woolf’s squad spent time in the state-of-the-art fitness suite, swimming pool, sports hall and trained on Rydal Penrhos’ outstanding New Field playing area on Tuesday.

Prior to the session, a special presentation of the new Rydal Penrhos rugby kits were made by the Saints to members of the school’s first team, with Executive Principal John Waszek also receiving a signed shirt as thanks for the school’s hospitality and efforts during their stay.
