Two Preparatory School pupils managed to emerge victorious from a recent competition during a continental awareness event.
Modern Foreign Languages department head Susan Livingstone and teacher Charline Vallée held a special Prep School assembly to highlight the importance of the European Day of Languages, introducing a quiz that involved teachers wearing flags from different countries.
Pupils worked in pairs or small groups to write down the name of the teacher on their quiz sheet, with plenty of exciting prizes on offer.
After the scores were tallied, Year 5 duo Felix Griffin and James Davies were crowned the winners of the competition, receiving their deserved plaudits at a weekly Celebration Assembly prior to the half-term break.
Assistant Head Catherine Hughes, said: “Our European Day of Languages quiz really captured the imagination of each pupil taking part, and the whole occasion was a tremendous success once again.
“We are proud to highlight the benefits of cultural diversity here at Rydal Penrhos on a daily basis, and out wonderful staff team do an incredible job of doing this and boosting the overall knowledge and understanding of each child in the process.”
The quiz was part of an action-packed schedule during European Day of Languages at Rydal Penrhos, which saw activities held at both Prep and Senior sites.
