Three aspiring Preparatory School martial artists held their nerve to secure some impressive grading achievements.
The talented trio of Alexandra Lopez-Moreno, Charlotte Knight and Svaksh Singam all train at the John Lynn’s Black Belt Martial Arts Academy in Colwyn Bay, and each Rydal Penrhos pupil managed to come through their latest assessment in the discipline of Karate with flying colours.
Year 3 pupil Charlotte is now the proud owner of a Brown Belt thanks to a sterling showing in front of assessors at the facility, rounding off a triumphant few weeks for the Knight family after sister Ellie ended a five-year journey with a prestigious Black Belt earlier this month.
There was further cause for celebration as fellow Year 3 pupil Alexandra managed to successfully secure a Purple Belt as a result of her ongoing commitment to improving her skills, and Year 2 pupil Svaksh rounded off the latest set of achievements with a Blue Belt to extend his impressive run of recent grading performances.
All three have already begun working hard during weekly sessions at the Academy in the hope of securing further success in the future.
Assistant Head Catherine Hughes, said: “Our Prep School pupils do an incredible job of balancing their academic development with their extra-curricular activities both in and out of school, and it is great to see their hard work paying off with some deserved recognition in their chosen field.
“Alexandra, Charlotte and Svaksh have all worked exceptionally hard to secure their latest Karate grading success, and I am confident that plenty of accolades will be heading their way if they continue to show the same sort of dedication going forward.”
