Mrs Davies’ weekly blog: December 9
December 9, 2019

It was very exciting to go to our swimming pool on Friday!

Year 3 were chosen to be the first pupils to see the newly revamped facility as the design winner, Charlotte Knight, is in this class.

The facilities really are first class and the pupils were super impressed. The water will start going in this week and lessons will start in the first week of next term. The wait will be worth it.

Earlier in the week we had two closely fought inter-house competitions in football and hockey.

Snowdon won both events so 100 extra house points coming their way! Not long now until the end of term house point update, will the running total be red, green or yellow?

All will be revealed on the last day of term. It was great to see so many parents on Tuesday at our astro pitch, thank you for your support.

Parents have also been into school this week for the brilliant art workshops with Mrs Morris making family Christmas wreaths.

These will all go down to St John’s Church for the RNLI public Christmas service (17th) and also the Prep School Carol service on the final day of term.

Some parents also found time to attend the data and assessment workshop mid-week. The slides from this will be emailed shortly plus the link with information about SOCs.

The Pre-prep and Pre-school have been practicing hard this week for their ’nativity’ play on Wednesday.

This is always a Christmas highlight and we are looking forward to seeing many of you for this. The dress rehearsal to the prep pupils will be on the Tuesday afternoon; parents are welcome to come to this if Wednesday is proving tricky.
