Pre-School head Louise Roberts gives a rundown of an extremely busy first few days of the spring term in her weekly blog:
Happy New Year to you all and a huge welcome to our new children here at Pre-School.
The first week back following the Christmas break saw the children delve into the vast topic of the Earth.
We have some big news from our #PreSchool department, which is now accepting #children from aged two thanks to a significant investment in equipment at the facility.
Amazing news! #RPInspires #EdChat #NorthWales

We discussed taking care of the earth, looking at a globe and discussing features of the land and sea.
The children also wrote letters to space and made pictures of the earth’s crust, which was based on their perception and what they had been taught during the initial stages of the topic.
They also made some fantastic creations in the art and craft area, which really ignited their curiosity surrounding the earth, its elements and important topical issues such as climate change and the environment.
It's been a very busy start to the term at our #PreSchool department, which has seen a wealth of #activities take place with the extremely #enthusiastic and hard-working group.
Well done, team! #RPInspires 👏😀

As usual, the children had small group literacy and numeracy tasks, a gym session and the ever-popular Forest School activity.
Our wonderful chaplain Rev’d Sissons also spent some time with us this week for a singing session that generated a lot of excitement, which also focused on music and storytelling.
