April 7, 2020

This special feature centres on Rydal Penrhos’ incredible music department and the pupils that are thriving under the expert leadership of Pete Williams.

Perry is another of Rydal Penrhos’ aspiring musicians who have gone on to secure a wealth of achievements.

The Year 8 standout has developed across all areas of school life since enrolling as a Year 4 prep pupil back in 2015.

He comes to life on stage, which was highlighted by a memorable contribution to the exceptional Dramatic Society production of Les Miserables in the role of Gavroche last year.

Perry’s strong vocal ability came to the fore during a tremendously accomplished performance in front of a live audience, and he has also boosted his experience considerably as part of the school’s Speech and Drama provision.

This included a strong contribution to Rydal Penrhos outstanding LAMDA assessment results recently, with Perry and Jake McDonald and Perry Williams’ gaining a Distinction from their Grade 2 Acting Combined examination.

The pupil is very ambitious and put his ability to the test in the Teen Star Singing and Dancing competition, where he made the Live Regional Finals in Manchester after a sensational audition.

Perry is a member of the Pauline Quirke Performing Arts Academy, which is based at Rydal Penrhos, which has proven to be another very useful method of improving his vocal poise and delivery.

The pupil received another big boost of confidence during a summer show in the West End in London as part of the Academy.
