A number of Preparatory School year groups got the chance to learn from a regional police officer during a recent visit.
PC Vicky Roscoe spent the day at Rydal Penrhos on Thursday, November 14, where she spent time with multiple year groups to speak about many different topics relating to their everyday lives.
She began with a talk to Year 6 on the topic of “I Didn’t Think”, before addressing the Year 4 pupils for a workshop featuring the title “Friend or Foe”.
This was followed by a “Sticks and Stones” workshop with the Year 3 contingent, and PC Roscoe concluded her time at the Prep School with a session entitled “Safe Haven” with Year 2.
PC Roscoe is a frequent visitor to Rydal Penrhos’ Prep and Senior sites as part of an ongoing initiative to heighten awareness on matters such as safety, bullying and prevention.
Prep School Head Lucy Davies, said: “We were thrilled to have PC Vicky Roscoe with us for a day of very informative workshops, which provided some invaluable information to our pupils that they are sure to benefit from going forward.
“The sessions really captured the imagination of our young and older pupils in equal measure, and we are always striving to enhance experiences and boost knowledge in a positive way here at Rydal Penrhos, both through our incredible teaching staff and guest speakers such as PC Roscoe.”
