Amanda receives five conditional Law university offers
May 11, 2021

A Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos has received five conditional offers to study Law at university next year.

Amanda Sperring, who is a Year 13 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, is aiming to pursue a career in the legal industry once she completes higher education, and a successful application process resulted in the Sixth Former gaining five conditional offers to study Law from various universities across the country.

The pupil received an incredible amount of support and guidance from Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team throughout the process, with the school also including UCAS preparation lessons on the Sixth Form timetable as part of the school’s strong curriculum options, extra-curricular activities and leadership opportunities.

The five conditional Law places Amanda received came from Cardiff University, Lancaster University, Nottingham Trent University, the University of Kent and the University of Sussex.

Amanda is currently studying Psychology, History, Biology and Geography at A Level and has contributed a significant amount across a wide range of areas since enrolling as a Year 7 pupil back in 2014.

She has progressed extremely encouragingly from an academic standpoint, gaining some impressive GCSE results before beginning her A Levels.

Her performances for the school’s senior hockey side have also come in for significant praise, with Amanda’s prowess on the netball court another element to her athletic contribution that’s been especially pleasing.

Amanda has also been a member of the Rydal Penrhos Dramatic Society and participated in the incredible production of Annie the Musical, with the pupil also taking Drama as a GCSE subject.

This is another fine example of what can be achieved from an all-through Senior School education at Rydal Penrhos. Pupils are given every possible opportunity to find their inspiration, exceed their objectives and also develop key skills that will stand them in good stead during their time in university and the working world.

Sixth Form is an exciting time and potentially stressful time for young people as they get ready for the next step of their journey. Amanda, like every Year 12 and 13 pupil, is given specialist support and advice to put them in the best possible position to achieve their future dreams.

Catering to the individual is something we are incredibly proud to offer and has brought some truly exceptional results not only from examinations, but with the large majority of pupils also securing their first-choice university destinations in their chosen fields.

Congratulations, Amanda. Everyone at Rydal Penrhos is immensely proud of you.
