Rydal Penrhos Prep School will be holding a special Taster Day for prospective pupils and their families on Friday 2 December.

At Rydal Penrhos Prep School, we strive to provide all pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum, generally following the National Curriculum for Wales and the standards set out by the Department for Education in the Primary National Strategies.

The curriculum is linked to that of the senior school, to enable a smooth transition between both areas of Rydal Penrhos. From Year 3 onwards, Maths and English are taught as form subjects and all the others as subject specialists.

We want our pupils to be confident, kind, resilient and curious. We want them to be happy learners who know how to learn and want to learn new things every day. 

These methods are proven to bring outstanding results. More importantly, it allows our Prep School pupils to excel in a safe, happy environment before embarking on Senior School and Sixth Form in later life.

Rydal Penrhos is thrilled to confirm the details of a special Prep School Taster Day, which will take place on Friday 2 December from 8.30am.

Those attending will be greeted by key staff including Mrs Lucy Davies, Deputy Principal and Head of Prep. Children will then be taken into their respective year groups and experience for themselves what goes on during a typical day at Rydal Penrhos.

Any parents wishing to take tours of the school can do so, with the Taster Day set to provide an action-packed morning of fun-filled activities under the supervision of our incredible teaching staff.
