Rydal Penrhos has revealed an exciting series of drama activities for senior school pupils throughout what promises to be another eventful Lent Term.
Rydal Penrhos is proud to have such an active Drama department. One which encompasses both the curriculum, being taken at GCSE and A Level and the extra-curricular, with yearly performance across all areas of the school.
Drama enables pupils to develop self-esteem, confidence and public speaking skills. The performing arts also promote many other life skills for whichever direction our pupils decide to pursue next.
Many go on to study Drama or a related field in higher education once their studies at Rydal Penrhos conclude. The school is also proud to offer a thriving Speech and Drama provision, which enables pupils to participate in examinations and gain additional qualifications from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
The school’s drama department recently revealed an outstanding list of trips and activities during the Lent Term. This has been implemented to improve overall knowledge, see some leading performers doing what they love on stage and build friendships further along the way.
These range from theatre visits to prominent facilities such as Theatre Clwyd, Venue Cymru and Theatr Colwyn. Pupils and staff will also get the chance to see shows at the Liverpool Empire Theatre, which is one of the country’s most prestigious performing arts venues.
Rydal Penrhos’ communications and marketing department put together a special digital document for pupils and parents to see for themselves the opportunities on offer.
