Rydal Penrhos Gallery: Pre-School return after lockdown
June 29, 2020

Rydal Penrhos Pre-School pupils have been enjoying each other’s company once again during their first day back following the coronavirus lockdown.

There was plenty of excitement in the air as the youngest members of the Rydal Penrhos community returned to school in a socially distanced matter in accordance with the current restrictions.

Staff at the Prep School have worked tirelessly in making everything as safe as possible for children across the site, and they were greeted by some tremendously happy faces this morning (Monday, June 29).

Their first morning was spent working alongside staff during various activities such as creative play and numeracy.

Those with a more creative nous also got the opportunity to express themselves during an art session, which is always something that captures the children’s imagination.

Louise Roberts, Pre-School department head, said: “It was absolutely wonderful to welcome our children back this morning.

“We have seen some of them during the keyworker childcare provision offered here at Rydal Penrhos throughout the lockdown, but getting them all together was a very special feeling. I hope they have missed the school as much as we have missed them being here.”

Here is a selection of images from the Pre-School, taken by Mrs Roberts, during their first morning back.
