Rydal Penrhos took the stage for their dress rehearsal ahead of the amateur production of Under Milk Wood (The Definitive Edition).
Excitement is building throughout Rydal Penrhos ahead of a special production from more than 60 pupils in Years 10-13. Our young performing artists took another giant leap forward in the process with a dress rehearsal of the amateur production of Under Milk Wood (The Definitive Edition), which will take place on Sunday 16 October, Monday 17, and Tuesday 18 in the Memorial Hall.
“Under Milk Wood (The Definitive Edition)” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatres Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk.
Lighting, stage, and creative crews also lent their support to the rehearsal, with teacher and production lead Fiona Earle ensuring everything went off without a hitch.
There was also a special guest in attendance. Iwan Williams, who is chief executive and artistic director of The Barn Theatre, took in the amateur production and spent time speaking with pupils upon its conclusion, offering some helpful hints that are sure to serve them well ahead of the big nights.
Sunday’s performance will begin at 7.30pm, with Monday and Tuesday’s set for a 7pm start.
Tickets are priced at £5 per person. Rydal Penrhos pupils and staff can attend the production free of charge.
Pupils in Year 9 and above can attend and refreshments will be available. Anyone wishing to purchase their tickets can do so at the following links:
