Harvest Food Drive gets incredible support once again
October 24, 2022

The entire Rydal Penrhos community once again gave a significant contribution to the school’s annual autumn food drive.

Giving back to the community is something at the forefront of everyone’s mind at Rydal Penrhos. It forms a key component of the school’s ethos and this is reflected in the large number of initiatives put on by staff and pupils throughout the academic year.

One of the most important is the annual Harvest Food Drive, which once again saw the Rydal Penrhos family rally around to support a very worthy cause.

A large number of canned goods and other essential items were donated by pupils and their families of all ages. These were collected over the last fortnight and brought around a fantastic response from everyone associated with the school.

They were on display at St John’s Church during the annual Harvest Festival, which was the last big occasion event before the two-week half-term break on Friday 21 October.

Reverend Dr Rob Beamish ha snow delivered the donated items to the Conwy Food Bank, which is especially vital due to the cost of living crisis impacting families across the region and beyond.

Our Harvest Food Drive is something that always generates a considerable amount of support from everyone associated with Rydal Penrhos. We were absolutely thrilled with this year’s collection, which was another fine example of the generosity and willingness to give back across the entire school.

We would like to thank everyone who donated to this year’s Harvest Food Drive. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and the items collected will be put to good use.
