Rydal Penrhos looks forward to welcoming pupils, parents and local young people to a new event designed to introduce them to many exciting career pathways and local leaders in those fields.
At Rydal Penrhos, we believe that providing our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and experience they need to succeed in the modern world is an essential part of our role as a leading independent school. Our inaugural Industry and Enterprise Day, taking place on Friday 28 April 2023 from 14:00 until 17:30 in the Ferguson Centre, is just one example of how we work to prepare our pupils for life after school.
This exciting event, which Rydal Penrhos is delighted to announce, will be open to pupils from Years 9 to 12, parents, and local children and young people from the community. It will bring together a range of important corporate partners, from national firms to leading local businesses. Furthermore, there will also be representatives from many of the key public services including the police, armed forces, and health service.
Our goal is to provide our pupils with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the dynamic North Wales business landscape, opening their eyes to the many career paths and opportunities available in the region. By connecting them with top industry experts and public services, we aim to inspire and empower our pupils to pursue their passions and achieve their goals.
We view preparing our pupils for life after school as a critical part of our role as a top school. We want our pupils to be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience they need to succeed in whatever path they choose, whether that is in the world of work, further education, or beyond. That is why we offer a comprehensive programme of university and careers advice that includes various events including an annual UCAS conference at the University of Liverpool and the recent North West Schools’ Cambridge conference at Haydock Park.
We are thrilled to be hosting our Industry and Enterprise Day and welcome any local young people who would like to attend. For more information, please contact events@rydalpenrhos.com.
This event is just one part of our broader mission to provide our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and experience they need to thrive in the modern world. It will also be a great opportunity for parents to meet some new faces and discover the people behind some of the household names from the local economy. We are deeply grateful to our corporate partners for volunteering their time to support this event.
We look forward to welcoming you all on Friday 28 April!
