Rydal Penrhos Daily Notes – June 18
Day 62 from Rydal Penrhos school’s keyworker childcare provision – 24 pupils, 9 staff
A younger pupil looked up curiously at the photograph of the whole school which is displayed on the mantelpiece in the school entrance area.
“Who’s on that picture?” she asked.
“You are” I replied.
She laughed, “Don’t be silly Mrs Davies”
I took the photo down and showed her; she was amazed and rather pleased, to see herself.
“ Do you remember this photograph being taken?” I asked.
“Not really, it was ages ago and I was in Reception” came the reply.
“You’re still in Reception! It was taken in September”.
This was greeted with a puzzled face and her reply was a sign of the times…
“ I am not in Reception Mrs Davies, I am in the Keyworkers class.” She bounced off down the corridor to join her ‘class’, delighted that she had been able to correct the Headteacher!
She is correct in one way I suppose, and September 2019 really does feel like a very long time ago!
