
Music and Drama pupils at Rydal Penrhos will be releasing a special online performance later this week.
The talented youngsters from Year 7 right up to Year 12, have been working hard with Pete Williams, Director of Music at Rydal Penrhos, in addition to English and Drama teacher Fiona Earle on the mini production, which will be live from Friday, July 3.
Year 7 will be singing a song relating to the Welsh Mountain Zoo written by Mr Williams, which they recorded themselves in addition to creating their very own masks, puppets, costumes, backgrounds and posing in costume as tourists.
Mr Williams also wrote a special song surrounding another prominent landmark in Conwy Castle. This will be performed by Year 8 pupils, who also filmed and filmed actions and produced a number of different designs to further enhance their contribution.
Year 9 were tasked with writing and recording monologue pieces, which will be either solo or group pieces.
Rounding off the online event will be Year 10 and 12, who selected and performed monologues/duologues and also composed and performed music.
Mr Williams, said: “This was a marvellous effort from our immensely talented pupils here at Rydal Penrhos, and hopefully this will come across during their online performance.
“They all threw themselves into their respective tasks and deserve a tremendous amount of credit. I count myself very fortunate to work with such incredible performing artists on a daily basis, and I hope everyone enjoys what they’ve produced.”
