Rydal Penrhos Prep School’s Podcast Club highlighted an important message during their second official broadcast release.
Emily Nurse, Martha Rose-Johnson, Tom Sinfield, Josh Williams, Robyn Borg-Barthet, Steffan Atenstaedt, Angus Holland and Tillie Bennett form the Podcast Club, which is another new addition to the rich variety of extra-curricular activities put on by Rydal Penrhos Prep School’s exceptional staff team during the academic year.
The club is led by teacher Catherine Culver, and the group has been busy over the first few weeks of the academic year learning about the tricks of the trade and how to put together an impactful podcast that stands out from the crowd.
Their latest installment saw the club turn their attention to the subject of anti-bullying, which is something that remains a primary topical issue that was rightfully highlighted by each pupil taking part in the podcast.
Before they went onto the topic, they went back to their question at the end of their first edition, which was “who was Elon Musk?”. They detailed his career history and also highlighted how the billionaire was bullied as a child.
Each pupil then discussed the different types of bullying that impact children across the country, before outlining who you can talk to such as family or a teacher if you are being bullied.
They also lent their support to the Anti-Bullying Pledge, which is a nationwide campaign regarding the importance of tolerance and understanding.
This programme of after school Clubs and Activities is open to all Rydal Penrhos pupils from Reception through to Year 6 and will be available following their normal lesson times at the end of each day.
The Prep School’s exceptional teaching staff have produced a diverse series of clubs and activities to enjoy throughout the academic year, which will further develop key skills in a relaxed setting away from the classroom.
They are focused on five categories:
- Creative Arts
- Performing Arts
- Reading, Games and Quizzes
- Sport and Activity
- Wellbeing and Personal Skills
The new programme has something for everyone and will be supervised by teaching staff.
Rydal Penrhos is now able to offer private tours to prospective pupils and their families.
