Rydal Penrhos School’s focus on the individual is further reflected in the pupil to teacher ratio across its Prep and Senior sites.
According to the recent census in Wales, there were 19 pupils to every teacher across the state school system as of January 2019. This is not the case at Rydal Penrhos, with the senior school having a one-to-eight ratio ahead of the new academic year.
This enables our teachers to give more attention to our pupils on a day-to-day basis, to develop their strengths and identify and support their weaknesses. Thus nurturing and developing each and every child as an individual.
The Prep School has a pupil/teacher ratio of 10.2-1, meaning that there are almost double the amount of staff on hand to guide our pupils through their education compared to the average school across the country.
Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated teaching staff leave no stone unturned when it comes to the progression of the pupils under their care. This is done by a diverse and inspiring curriculum, consistent and prominent progress and monitoring reports, and a safe environment that allows them to thrive among their peers.
Everyone remembers an inspiring teacher that helped them reach their goals. Our pupils are no different, and it is a primary reason why so many of our alumni stay connected to the Rydal Penrhos family long after they depart.
Our senior management team, together with the school’s Governing Body, continue to work hard to ensure Rydal Penrhos is at the forefront of educational standards. But it is the close bond between teachers and pupils that really sets us apart.
This has led to some exceptional examination results, high academic value-added, and pupils who know they are getting the best attention and the greatest care during the early stages of their development.
School will be resuming on Thursday 3 September and there are still some places available for incoming pupils.
Rydal Penrhos is now able to offer socially distanced tours to prospective pupils and their families.
