Pupils set for musical fundraiser in aid of Ty Gobaith
December 7, 2022

Three senior school pupils from Rydal Penrhos will be participating in a special musical fundraiser in aid of Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice.

We are very proud of our charitable work throughout the academic year at Rydal Penrhos. This is something that forms a key part of the school’s ethos and has been prevalent across campus with initiatives and fundraising days for worthy causes across the North Wales area and beyond throughout a busy Advent Term to date.

In addition to events put on by our incredible staff team, pupils also go above and beyond to assist in whatever way they can to make the world around them a better place. This is a testament to their caring nature and the high morals installed in each pupil as part of a well-rounded education at Rydal Penrhos.

One cause that remains close to the school’s heart is Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice in Conwy. Rydal Penrhos has raised thousands for the vital facility in recent years, with its annual Christmas Extravaganza just one prominent occasion in support of the charity.

Three pupils are taking it upon themselves to raise additional funds for Ty Gobaith this weekend. Will McLaughlin, David Tate and Tristan Griffiths will take to the famous Llandudno Band Stand on Saturday 10 December from 10am for a musical fundraiser in aid of the hospice.

Will, David and Tristan form Street View – the best band you’ve never heard – and are treating passers-by with a number of special songs from their set list in the hope of collecting as much money as possible.

This initiative has received the full support of Rydal Penrhos and we wish them the very best of luck this weekend.

Anyone wishing to keep up with their efforts can do so on Street View’s official Instagram page.
