Pre-School to Year 6 pupils at Rydal Penrhos celebrated a hugely successful return to school with their Stars of the Week ceremony.
It was fantastic to see our pupils making their return to Rydal Penrhos for the start of the academic year last week. There was much excitement in the air as everyone joined up for the first time following their well-deserved summer break, with relaxed measures issued by the Welsh Government meaning things took on a much more normal feel to anything they’ve experienced over the previous 18 months.
As is customary with pupils young and old, they threw themselves straight into their academic studies and extra-curricular opportunities right from the outset, with teaching and support staff there to assist them every step of the way in pursuit of progression throughout all facets of their education.
Of course, for pupils in Pre-School to Year 6, Friday comes with the weekly Celebration Assembly led by Deputy Principal Lucy Davies.
How heart-warming it was to witness everyone together singing for the first time in quite a while!

In addition to the Celebration Assembly festivities, there was also a special picture of our pupils in Reception who attended our Pre-school but missed out on their special prize-giving in July due to COVID-19.
They each received a special copy of ‘The Smeds and The Smoos’ by Julia Donaldson in recognition of their outstanding commitment during the previous academic year.
