Rydal Penrhos Prep School Head Lucy Davies provides an insight into another busy few days at the site in her weekly blog:
Our sports teams have had another busy and varied week with the U9 footballers travelling to Manchester City’s academy for a tournament, our ski team travelling to South Wales and our cross country team travelling to Wilmslow and tackling a very muddy course (aren’t they always?!).
All of our teams played wonderfully well and showed determination and skill.
We had some great individual results with first places in both the skiing and the cross-country. Please check out the new school website for all the details.
Our Year 6 pupils went out all day on Wednesday to study rivers at a field study centre near Betws-y- coed.
It was just after the heavy rain and Mrs Culver’s fears of flash floods thankfully did not come to fruition.
The Centre staff were so impressed with our pupils’ prior knowledge that they let them take on extra tasks meant for Year 7 pupils. Well done everyone!
Finally this week we have held elections for school council representatives for each class and interviews for Year 6 leadership positions.
I am so looking forward to working with all of our pupils to find out how they want to move the school forward!
