Members of Rydal Penrhos’ parent group will transform into elves in the name of charity at a special event next month.
The Friends of Rydal Penrhos will be holding their annual Secrets Room at this year’s Christmas Fun day, which has been arranged by the Sixth Form Charity Committee in aid of Ty Gobaith children’s hospice in Conwy.
For a small donation pupils enter the Wedgwood Room where they will be able to pick a gift of their choosing to give to loved ones on Christmas Day, before having them specially wrapped by the elf volunteers from FORPS.
Both the Charity Committee and FORPS are seeking donations for the Secrets Room, which should be small gifts for male and female recipients.
The Christmas Fun Day will take place from 3.30-5.30pm at the Prep School, with a wealth of exciting activities scheduled to raise as much money as possible for an extremely worthy cause.
There will be a number of stalls available throughout the event to give those in attendance the perfect chance to buy some last-minute Christmas gifts for friends and family.
A charity raffle with plenty of impressive prizes on offer will undoubtedly be another standout attraction, and Father Christmas is also set to pay a visit to the event at his Grotto situated within the Forest School.
The school’s choir will also be on hand to keep people entertained alongside Director of Music Pete Williams, with plenty of refreshments also available.
Anyone wishing to donate items to the Secrets Room or the Christmas Fun Day can leave them at either Prep or Senior School receptions leading up to the event.
