Tegid to perform at Liverpool Met Cathedral Girls’ Choir Concert
September 26, 2019

A gifted vocalist will be lending his support to a high-profile upcoming concert at Rydal Penrhos.

Tegid Goodman-Jones, a Year 12 pupil at the school, has been added to the bill for the upcoming Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral Girls’ Choir showcase that will take place in the Memorial Hall on Friday, October 4.

The Music scholar has enjoyed a phenomenal singing career to date, scooping a host of individual accomplishments at prestigious events such as the Llangollen International and Urdd National Eisteddfods.

The teenager also gave a memorable performance at the recent Daily Post Schools Awards and was one of the leading parts in the exceptional Dramatic Society production of Les Miserables in the role of Enjolras.

Those in attendance will be treated to a wealth of different songs from both the Cathedral and Senior School choirs throughout the event, and soprano Bethany Hartless is also scheduled to showcase her exceptional vocal talent.

The Cathedral Choir plays a significant role within the working life of the facility and is active within the Archdiocese and the City of Liverpool, singing at many civic, ecumenical and academic services.

Broadcasting regularly, the Choir has sung many times for both BBC television and radio and independent broadcasters and has also made a number of recordings.

The concert will run from 7-8.15pm and tickets are priced at £5 per person, with school children getting free admission.

Anyone wishing to book tickets is urged to contact Sarah James via email at SJames@rydalpenrhos.com or call 01492 530155.
