Parents at Rydal Penrhos recently experienced some of the joys of Pre-School as they participated in a creative workshop with their children.
Rydal Penrhos Pre-School is committed to providing a well-rounded education that fosters growth and development in all areas of a child’s life. This includes not only academic learning but also social and emotional development, physical activity, and creativity.
That is why we are proud to highlight one of our recent Pre-School Parent Workshops, which took place on Tuesday 25 April 2023 in the beautiful and historic Lyndon Library.
Pre-School Practitioners Miss Jewkes and Mrs Roberts created an environment that was engaging and fun for our little ones. The art activities allowed them to express their creativity and explore their imagination. Reading areas were set up, which gave them the opportunity to explore new stories and learn about the world around them. These activities are not only enjoyable for our pupils, but also promote important cognitive and language development.
While creative play is a daily feature of our Pre-School, what set this event apart was the participation of parents, who joined in on the fun and engaged with their children in new and exciting ways. They sang action songs and participated in yoga stories, promoting physical activity and mindfulness; factors which are as important to the adults in our community as they are to our little ones!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for creating such a wonderful experience for our families. Their dedication and creativity in planning these activities is a testament to their commitment to providing a nurturing environment for our children. We would also like to thank our Little Stars, Shining Stars, and Super Stars for being such great participants and keeping their parents in control!
At Rydal Penrhos Pre-School, we believe in the importance of instilling virtues such as imagination, patience, individuality, kindness, and responsibility in our pupils from an early age. These activities provide an opportunity for parents to model these virtues and reinforce the lessons that we teach in the classroom.
By engaging in activities that promote creativity, physical activity, and social interaction, we help our children develop into well-rounded individuals who are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in life.
With many exciting activities for our Pre-School pupils and parents over the remainder of the academic year, including a Ballet Show and the annual Pre-School End-of-Year Celebration, we look forward to welcoming our Pre-School parents again very soon!
