Rydal Penrhos Prep head Lucy Davies will be providing a daily account of what is going on at the school during the coronavirus closure.
Rydal Penrhos Daily Notes – March 24
Week 1, day 2 – 16 pupils, 15 staff
Beautiful weather, school flag flying!
Noticeably quieter as the pupils watch for the woodpecker; then we realise this is because the A55 traffic noise can hardly be heard!
It takes the pupils a while to realise what the difference is, they ask if they can take the school scooter boards down to the A55 to try them out on a smooth surface.
Huge disappointment as the request is denied and the determined cry of: “but we’ll keep our social distance.”
This morning the youngest pupils took great delight in having the dressing up box all to themselves; they were able to try on all of the clothes and do a fabulous fashion show for each other with some fairly hilarious results!
Pupils C and D, in the photograph, decided that their outfits were, “ too big, too hot and too silly!”
We are keeping up with the school learning packs but still squeezed in golf and forest school this afternoon…never did spot the Woodpecker!
