Rydal Penrhos: Staff produce Uganda Chapel
June 22, 2020

Rydal Penrhos senior school staff came together in order to produce a special chapel service for their friends in Uganda to show support during this difficult time.

We caught up with the Reverend Nick Sissons, Chaplain of Rydal Penrhos, to tell us more about the project.

The school has been visiting Uganda every other year since 2009 and as you can imagine in that time we have made some very good friends.

So we decided that we would put together a chapel service specifically to send to our contacts in Uganda as an encouragement to them in this time of crisis and as a reminder of our friendship.

The service is made up of musical items from Pete Williams, messages of support from Executive Principal John Waszek and from the Uganda co-ordinators, Paul Sanders and Fleur Coates.

Prayers and readings came from Nick Sissons, the Chaplain.

This was sent out on Wednesday and we have already received back many warm messages of thanks from friends in Uganda who work in the hotel industry, the tourist trade, in the Church and in the education, environmental and charity sectors.

We hope you might like to see what we sent.
