Valentine’s Disco to raise funds for Disability Ski Wales
February 12, 2020

Preparatory School year groups will close out the half term in style at a special fundraising event this week.

Rydal Penrhos’ annual Prep Valentine’s Discos will take place on Friday, February 14 and will once again receive support from the Friends of Rydal Penrhos parent group.

They will be providing sweets, a popcorn machine and will have gluten and allergen free treats for those who require them.

There will be a disco with plenty of games to participate in under the supervision of staff, in addition to the popular fancy dress photobooth.

Pupils can get their face painted at a special area and there is going to be plenty of colour on show with the addition of a temporary tattoo zone.

The Pre-School, Reception and Year 1 disco will be held in the Wedgewood Room from 3.30-4.30pm, with Years 2-6 descending on the Prep School Hall from 3.30-5pm.

Proceeds from the occasion will go towards Disability Skiing Wales, with Rydal Penrhos donating a significant amount to the worth cause in recent years from the Prep School Valentine’s Disco.

All after school clubs are cancelled on this day but wrap around care is still available until 6pm.

Disability Ski Wales train volunteers and work with disabled people on dry ski slopes in Wales to develop confidence, fitness and social skills, which improves their quality of life.

It also gives the volunteer the opportunity to improve their skiing and meet new friends.
