A talented young rugby player has earned another regional squad selection for a high-profile upcoming fixture.
Osca Clark, a Year 10 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, will be part of the RGC East squad that will test their considerable skills against Cynon Valley Schools on Friday, which will take place at the home of Wrexham Rugby Club.
He will be looking to make another significant impact as part of the set-up in a competitive environment, with Osca also picking up some valuable experience with the young Gogs’ in their recent Super 4 Series encounters at Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay.
The squad performed well throughout the competition against RGC West, RGC South and the Welsh Exiles, something that is sure to stand both Osca and the team in good stead ahead of a series of fixtures during the remainder of the campaign.
Osca has developed his skills considerably in recent months under the guidance of both RGC coaching staff and during specialist sessions at Rydal Penrhos, which also involves an individual strength and conditioning programme.
Head of Physical Education Nicky Head, said: “Osca has worked incredibly hard to develop all areas of his rugby play and this has really come across with some outstanding performances both for school and RGC East.
“Hopefully this is a trend that can continue long into the future and everyone at Rydal Penrhos wishes Osca and RGC East the very best of luck this Friday.”
