Rydal Penrhos pupils are set to combine festive spirit with artistic creativity for our Rydal Penrhos Tom the Bear Christmas Photo Competition.

The Rydal Penrhos community recently welcomed its newest member in the form of our first-annual limited-edition Christmas Bear, Tom.

Taking his name after the founder of Rydal, Thomas Osborn, this cuddly new member of our school is available to order now at rydal-penrhos.sumupstore.com. At just £12.50 we are sure that you will want at least one under your tree this year. 

To celebrate Tom’s arrival, we are delighted to announce a brand-new Christmas competition that combines creativity, festivity, and inter-house competition.

The Rydal Penrhos Tom the Bear Christmas Photo Competition invites our pupils and staff to capture their best photo featuring Tom the Bear. We look forward to seeing the heart-warming moments that will be captured on camera over the coming weeks, as our inaugural Christmas bear is welcomed home by our families.

There will be four categories of entry to the competition: Pre-School, Prep, Senior, and Staff. Winners in each category will not only receive the grand prize but will also be awarded 25 House Points; an incredible haul of points that will make a big impact on the race for the House Cup. For our Runners-Up, there will be a second-place prize and 10 House Points.

Results will be announced to pupils in morning assemblies the week commencing Monday 15 January 2024. The winning photos will also be shared online on our website and social channels, meaning the entire school community will have a chance to revel in the holiday spirit captured by our talented pupils.
