Cammie and Emily secure Ballet grading success
November 5, 2019

Two aspiring Preparatory School performing artists managed to attain impressive grading success recently.

Emily Nurse and Cammie de la Mare Norris, Year 5 and 6 pupils at Rydal Penrhos, performed in front of adjudicators in pursuit of their Grade 1 Ballet certificate, which was administered by the Royal Academy of Dance.

The duo worked incredibly hard in the lead-up to their respective assessments during weekly training sessions, and both gave a very good account of themselves in order to emerge from their examinations with flying colours.

Emily’s exceptional effort in a pressurised setting saw her come away with a Distinction mark, with Cammie securing a Merit grade thanks to her sterling efforts.

The pair received recognition for their achievements at a Prep School Celebration Assembly prior to the half-term break, and the hard-working pupils have already set their sights on further grading success in the future.

Prep School Head Lucy Davies, said: “I am thrilled for Cammie and Emily, who demonstrated tremendous composure and poise to impress considerably throughout their recent assessments.

“We highly encourage each Prep School child to gain different experience outside of the classroom in their own time, which boosts their overall development and gives them plenty of confidence when they are not in an educational environment.”
