A talented young sailor will be heading to the continent next week for a special event.
Josh Manning, a Year 12 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, will be travelling to Spain for an assisted event that will see others from across the continent compete.
The teenager was selected to the Team GB 420 Youth squad earlier this year after impressing considerably during a series of competitive competitions alongside sailing partner Lucy Hughes.
The Sixth Former has been part of the Wales squad for a number of years and is another success story from Rydal Penrhos’ RYA Accredited sailing programme, which has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years and recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Senior School Head Sally-Ann Harding, said: “This will be another invaluable experience for Josh and is sure to aid his overall development considerably.
“He is one of the shining lights of our remarkable sailing provision, which has consistently produced national and international calibre sailors in recent years and Josh is another fine role model for young pupils looking to follow in his footsteps.
