Rydal Penrhos pupils are getting ready to delight audiences once again as a much-loved classic takes to the stage.
Drama has long been an important part of life at Rydal Penrhos, forming a key part of the school’s strong cultural and educational history.
Over many generations, performance has been valued not just as entertainment, but as a powerful way to build confidence, creativity and teamwork.
Today, this tradition continues with fresh energy, showing the school’s commitment to helping young people grow into confident, successful individuals — achieving the very best exam results, and ready to succeed in whatever path they choose.
That spirit is clear as Rydal Penrhos prepares for its next school production. Across two evenings – Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 February – pupils will present “Peter Pan.”
Following the great success of last year’s “Oliver!,” which impressed audiences with its high standards and ambition, pupils are once again bringing a classic story to life through engaging acting, music and drama.
Rehearsals are already full of excitement as Neverland begins to take shape, promising a show filled with imagination, strong characters and stage magic.
This production is the latest led by Mrs Northwood and Mr McGuinness, whose combined experience in drama and music has delivered a superb quality of school productions in recent years.
They are supported by a talented cast, including several familiar faces from “Oliver!” Among them are Sixth Form pupils Toby and Finlay (pictured), with Finlay returning to the stage after his memorable performance as Fagin, and now taking on the well-known role of Captain Hook.
Tickets for “Peter Pan” are now available and are expected to sell quickly. The booking link has been shared with parents and carers by email and will be sent again in weekly updates and other school communications.
