Rydal Penrhos is delighted to have been named a finalist in the NDNA Awards 2026, shortlisted in the Nursery of the Year Wales category.
This prestigious recognition is especially significant as Rydal Penrhos is the only nursery in North Wales to be shortlisted in this category.
For families searching for a nursery in North Wales or a nursery in Conwy, the recognition reflects the exceptional care, learning environment and Early Years experience offered at Rydal Penrhos.
The news comes ahead of an exciting new chapter for the school, with the launch of its dedicated Nursery provision for children from six months old in September 2026.
From September, Rydal Penrhos will become the only independent through school in North Wales offering education from six months through to Sixth Form, providing families with a seamless educational journey within one supportive and ambitious school community.
Located in Colwyn Bay, the Nursery will offer a nurturing environment where children are supported by experienced Early Years specialists and encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity and independence from the very beginning of their learning journey.
The Nursery forms part of the school’s continued investment in Early Years education, following the extensive refurbishment and development of the Pre-School provision in 2024.
Being shortlisted for Nursery of the Year Wales is a proud moment for the whole Rydal Penrhos community and a reflection of the dedication, professionalism and care shown by the school’s Early Years team.
The Awards Ceremony takes place on the 5th June in Liverpool, good luck to Miss Spencer and the team.
