Prefect and multi-talented pupil Ellie has been working incredibly hard at Rydal Penrhos’ Saling Centre, which is accredited by the Royal Yachting Association, on obtaining qualifications in addition to her outstanding recent competition performances on the water.

This resulted in Ellie securing her Stage 4 RYA Award after impressing considerably, which will stand her in good stead as she goes in search of further accolades in the future.

There was further cause for celebration thanks to Alexandra’s outstanding effort during her recent Royal Academy of Dance assessment, which saw her emerge from the examination with a superb Merit mark.

Both pupils received special acknowledgement from Prep School Head Lucy Davies at a Celebration Assembly prior to the half-term break.

Mrs Davies, said: “Both Alexandra and Ellie dedicate an enormous amount of their free time to improving their Dance and Sailing, and it is fantastic to see this paying off with some incredible recent achievements.

“Developing additional skills outside of a classroom environment is something that is proven to aid overall development, and adds to the exceptional academic and enriching education we provide here at Rydal Penrhos.”
