Rydal Penrhos’ U11 netball continued their exceptional campaign with another strong showing at a recent event.
The in-form Prep School squad took on Packwood Haugh School and Moor Park School during a mini-tournament last weekend, turning in two outstanding performances to emerge unbeaten from their latest fixtures.
This included a superb demonstration of teamwork and communication to seal a 7-1 victory over Packwood, before closing out the competition with hard-fought 4-4 draw against Moor Park.
It has been a season to remember for the U11 team, who have achieved a considerable amount of success after developing their skills considerably under Jude Pyves and other coaching staff.
Their crowning glory was a dominant performance to claim the Urdd Conwy Championships, and they will now represent the county at the National Finals in Aberystwyth later this year.
Head of Games Jamie McLeod, said: “Our U11 side have really come of age this year and deserve all the credit in the world.
“They are a close knit group who are always working hard individually and as a unit to improve and maximise their chances of success in a competitive environment.
“Each pupil involved is a credit to themselves and everyone here at Rydal Penrhos, with plenty more still to come.”
U11 squad vs Packwood and Moor Park: Charlotte Payne (capt), Ellie Knight (vice-capt), Lucy Ranales-Griffiths, Sophie Morris, Fleur Roberts, Lily Copeland, Amelie Skinner, Emily Nurse.
