Rydal Penrhos teachers and teaching assistants are set to attend The National Education Show in Venue Cymru on Friday 16 June 2023, which will feature a performance from our school choir.
At Rydal Penrhos, staff training and continuing professional development (CPD) are important contributors to the school’s standard of excellence; be that in terms of exam results or safeguarding outcomes. Teachers and support staff participate in five INSET (in-service training) days a year, and many have participated in longer-term training to become Mental Health First Aiders or ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants).
On Friday 16 June 2023, teachers and teaching assistants from the Rydal Penrhos Prep will have a wonderful opportunity to delve into the latest pedagogical trends and practices as they attend The National Education Show in Venue Cymru, Llandudno.
The much-anticipated event is set to draw some of the best and brightest educational minds in Wales under one roof. It serves as a platform for educators to network, exchange ideas, and explore innovative strategies that foster excellence in teaching and learning. Several engaging CPD seminars will take place throughout the day, featuring the latest research, practical strategies, and ideas to inspire and empower children and young people.
It will not only be our talented teaching staff making an impression, however. The wonderful voices of our Rydal Penrhos choir are set to open the day’s proceedings, with pupils performing prior to the start of the first seminars. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the choir to share their amazing standard of music, as evidenced by the Prep and Senior Spring Concerts earlier this year, and will serve as a reminder to all present of the important role of music and the arts in a modern education.
As Rydal Penrhos takes centre stage at The National Education Show, the school community could not be prouder of our talented choir and dedicated teachers.
