A large number of aspiring Preparatory School sailors received recognition for their outstanding commitment with special certificates.
The group have been working exceptionally hard during a number of coaching programmes at Rydal Penrhos’ RYA Accredited Sailing and Water-Sports Centre during the summer and into the academic year, and they came away with impressive qualifications after passing their respective assessments with flying colours.
The variety ranged all the way up to RYA Level 4, which represents a considerable achievement across all year groups.
Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated programme offers a diverse range of courses for both prep and senior pupils, including; Taster Sailing; RYA Level 1-4; RYA Seamanship Skills; RYA Sailing with Spinnakers; RYA Day Sailing; RYA Powerboating Level 1-2; RYA Windsurfing Level 1-2 and Kayaking.
With the term’s sailing recently coming to an end, each pupil was acknowledged for their excellent achievements with their certificates at a Prep School Celebration Assembly earlier this month.
Department Sailing has concluded for the winter season and will resume with Easter Holiday Courses in 2020, in addition to forming a significant part of the school’s outdoor education and enrichment club sessions.
