Achievements celebrated at Pre-Prep Prize Giving
September 5, 2019

A large number of young pupils were acknowledged for their hard work throughout the year at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Pre-Preparatory Prize Giving.

Parents, staff and pupils descended on the School Hall on Monday, July 1, where they enjoyed a fabulous event that began with a special address from Prep School Head Alison Hind.

Those in attendance were treated to a fantastic musical performance from Year 2, before a dance routine from Early Years and Reception drew a generous round of applause.

Years 1 and 2 also performed their own routine under the guidance of coaches that included Sixth Formers Heidi Jack and Niamh Hall, and the celebration concluded with songs from Early Years, Reception/Year 1 and the entire Pre-Prep contingent.

All pupils received certificates for their efforts throughout the year, which ranged from Early Years to Year 2.

In addition, pupils also received the gymnastics and swimming certificates, while special awards were presented to those who had shown promise throughout the year.

There were a host of individual prizes for attainment, effort and the ever-popular ‘good-egg’ awards for their superb accomplishments both academically and during their extra-curricular activities.

Executive Principal John Waszek spoke briefly and praised the “safe environment” provided to enable each pupil to thrive in their surroundings, with outgoing Head Boy Nick Fiorita invited to the event to present the certificates.
