We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between Rydal Penrhos School and Dragon Camps.
From the May half-term holiday, the popular Dragon Camps for children aged 4 to 14 will have a new home at Rydal Penrhos School in Colwyn Bay. Taking full advantage of the Ferguson Centre and extensive sporting facilities which are part of the main school campus, the move will offer the children and staff the opportunity to grow the activity timetable and welcome more local children into the programme.
‘We see this very much as a partnership,’ says Maria McLean, Admissions and Marketing Manager at Rydal Penrhos. ‘It is the result of careful discussion about provision for our pupils and the wider Conwy community’.
‘We are delighted that Rydal Penrhos are able to host Dragon Camps,’ says David Edwards, Director of Springfield Day Nurseries Ltd, the owner of the Dragon Camps brand, ‘and know that together, we can enhance our provision for the benefit of all the children in our care, from ages 4 to 14.
Rydal Penrhos, founded in 1883, houses exceptional facilities across its campus along Pwllycrochan Avenue. Dragon Camps will have access to the Sports Hall, all-weather Astro Turf and purpose-built Dining Room, with core activities based in the Ferguson Centre, accessible via Combermere Road. Activities that will be available in the newly expanded timetable will include sports such as; cricket, tag rugby, football and swimming in the Rydal Penrhos swimming pool located opposite the Ferguson Centre.
Mini Dragons for children aged 4 and Dragon Camps for children aged 5 to 14 will be moving to Rydal Penrhos School for the coming May half-term holiday and offer activities to suit all children, from high-energy sporting challenges to more peaceful art and craft classes. Children staying for the whole day will be able to enjoy a freshly cooked hot lunch, prepared by Rydal Penrhos chefs using delicious local produce.
