Staff and pupils at Rydal Penrhos took to the stage for a hugely important festive singing competition prior to the break.
The much-anticipated Inter-House Christmas Singing competition took place on Friday, December 20, which saw Wesley, Osborn, Payne and Morgan compete for vital House points.
Each house had been working incredibly hard in the lead-up to the showcase during a number of different rehearsals, and after a hugely competitive morning of entertainment it was Payne who emerged victorious, ending Wesley’s two-year reign as champions.
There was also a performance from staff, before the whole school joined in a special song.
The competition was judged by the exceptional eyes and ears of Rydal Penrhos’ Director of Music Pete Williams, and this was the final engagement before staff and pupils broke up for Christmas.
Mr Williams, said: “The standard of our Christmas Singing competition seems to get higher and higher every year, and once again it was a wonderful demonstration of the vocal and musical we have here at Rydal Penrhos.
“It was a hard job coming up with an overall winner such was the quality of each performance on the day, and I would like to offer my congratulations not only to Payne House, but to all pupils and staff that took part and made the competition such a roaring success.”
