Sixth Form Discovery Day
14 November 2024
Current and prospective pupils are invited to experience Sixth Form life at Rydal Penrhos. Enjoy a day of Sixth Form taster lessons, meet our teachers, and explore our extensive curriculum offer. Throughout the day, you will discover why our pupils achieve outstanding exam results and secure places at top universities.

Introduction to GCSE Evening
27 November 2024
This evening provides Year 9 pupils and their families with a first look at the GCSE journey. Following a welcome from our Principal and Vice-Principal (Director of Studies), families will have the opportunity to speak with subject teachers and learn more about what GCSEs entail. With Rydal Penrhos pupils achieving A* grades at four times the national average, there is no better environment in which to undertake this crucial course of study.
FORPS Winter Ball
30 November 2024
The Winter Ball, the most significant Friends of Rydal Penrhos School (FORPS) event since its re-establishment last year, promises to be the social highlight of the season. With fantastic entertainment, delicious food, and plenty of festive cheer, this black-tie event is open to parents, friends, and family.

Christmas Fayre
4 December 2024
Our Christmas Fayre returns, bigger and better than ever, now taking place across both the Osborn and Memorial Halls. With festive games and themed stalls, this is an event for all ages to enjoy. Our Catering Team will delight visitors with festive sweet treats and hot drinks, while our talented young musicians will perform Christmas classics, adding a touch of festive joy!
Open Morning
6 December 2024
Join us for our December Open Morning, where families can tour the school, meet our community, and experience an extraordinary ordinary day at Rydal Penrhos. After a welcome from Principal Mr Hutchinson, guests will take a tour of our site, ending their visit with a delicious lunch in our Dining Room.
With continued investment into school buildings and equipment, there has never been a better time to join the Rydal Penrhos community.
Christmas Lunch
12 and 13 December 2024
The last week of term is packed with festive events – almost enough to be worthy of their own list! Among the highlights – including the inter-house song contest and whole-school carol service – none is more eagerly anticipated than the Christmas Lunch. Following last year’s Harry Potter-themed feast, this year’s event promises even more magical surprises for Pre-School, Prep, and Senior pupils.
