Following valuable feedback from parents and carers, Rydal Penrhos is thrilled to introduce a brand-new Breakfast Club and improved wraparound care arrangements, designed to better cater to the needs of our families.
At Rydal Penrhos School, we are always committed to enhancing the experience of our pupils and their families.
Whether that is work that we do in the classroom to deliver a bespoke learning experience for every child, or the outstanding pastoral support we provide thanks to a dedicated team of specialists, we always seek to do everything we can to make sure everyone in our community is safe, happy and thriving.
Now, as Rydal Penrhos begins a new academic year, the school is delighted to announce two new initiatives inspired by parental feedback.
Breakfast Club: A Nutritious Start to Every School Day
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Breakfast Club, which will be available for all pupils from Reception to Year 13. Running five days a week throughout term time, the Breakfast Club aims to provide a nutritious and energising start to the school day, ensuring our pupils are well-fed and ready to learn.
The Breakfast Club will commence at 07:15 each morning in the Dining Room. We have carefully curated a menu that includes a range of healthy food options, such as cereals, fresh fruit, toast, and a variety of drinks, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements.
This initiative not only supports a healthy lifestyle but also fosters a warm, welcoming environment where pupils can enjoy a wholesome meal and socialise with friends before lessons begin.
We understand that mornings can be a busy time for families, especially those with early commitments. Our Breakfast Club offers a convenient solution, allowing parents the flexibility to drop their children off early, knowing they will receive a nutritious breakfast in a safe, caring environment.
Current parents and carers can secure a place for their child at our Breakfast Club by visiting SchoolsBuddy.
New Wraparound Care Arrangements
In addition to the Breakfast Club, we are also pleased to announce improvements to our wraparound care, based on your feedback.
To serve the needs of our pupils, we will be separating Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) wraparound care. KS1 pupils will enjoy wraparound care in their new, dedicated wing at the far end of Old House, while older Prep children will be in the Dining Room.
We are updating our tea menu to even better cater for our pupils. The new menu features a variety of sandwiches, wraps, baked crisps, fruit, as well as a guaranteed hot option every evening, offering a broad range of tasty choices that will satisfy all.
Thank you to all our parents and carers for their ongoing feedback and support. You’ve asked, and we’ve listened; we look forward to seeing the positive impact of these changes over the term ahead!
