The school will be hosting a special Sixth Form Opening Evening on Tuesday, December 3 from 5-7.30pm.
There will be plenty to enjoy throughout the event, including a tour of the key areas of Rydal Penrhos and a chance to speak with key staff and current pupils.
Introductory addresses will come from Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, Head Boy Ioan Peake-Jones and Head Girl Millie Collins, and all subjects will be showcased including subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science.
The more creative departments such as Art, Music, Drama and Design Technology will also feature prominently.
Those in attendance can also explore Rydal Penrhos’ exceptional enrichment programme featuring things such as Sport, the Model UN and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, with Mrs Harding and Assistant Deputy Head Rhian Williams able to discuss the vast curriculum options available within the Sixth Form.
Following the tours, mince pies and mulled wine will be served at the Sixth Form Ferguson Centre, and there will also be entertainment in the form of festive songs from our Senior Choir.

Thursday 21 November – 4.30pm
For parents and pupils interested in joining the School for September 2020.
Find out about school life, the curriculum, our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities and more.
Short tours of the school will be available from 3.30pm, booking required.
Both Prep and Senior sites will be welcoming prospective pupils and their families, giving them a first-hand opportunity to see for themselves what goes on during a typical day at the school.
They take place in October and April, so those in attendance can view both facilities should they wish.
Among the highlights of the Open Afternoon will be individual tours of the school with pupil tour guides, and there will be a chance to speak with teaching and admissions staff, current parents and alumni to get a broader perspective of the day-to-day life of a pupil, the curriculum, pastoral care and what it is like to be a part of the school community.
Details of the April Open Afternoon will be published here when confirmed.
Personal tours are available for families to meet the Principal or Heads of School and have a tour with a member of staff and pupil.
You will also meet Jenny Marsden or Susan Williams from our Admissions Office, who will answer any questions you may have about applying for a place at Rydal Penrhos.
If your son or daughter enjoyed a recent Open Morning or visit to the school, we recommend they come on a taster day.
He or she will be assigned a buddy for the day and will experience a full school day of lessons and activities, including lunch.
Taster days can be arranged for all pupils from Pre-School to Sixth Form. For applicants to the and Prep School, taster days are strongly recommended and give our staff the opportunity to meet your child.
